Velds

Velds was formed by Joyce Musy - a specialist in costmetic medicine, when she visited South Africa, with the blessing of top surgeons and pharmaceutical bigwigs. Whilst there she descoved Aloe Ferox, which became the backbone of Velds.

Aloe Ferox is a wild and untamable plant that has only been found in South Africa. Before Velds, it was not used, exported, or even considered for any cosmetology. The plant is endemic, has an intact biodiversity, and is totally unique. The sap, when harvested, is incredibly bitter. However, it is full of anti-oxidants, vitamins, trace elements and amino acids.

Aloe Ferox has been added to skincare products almost since it's discovery, however mainly for reasons other than the above. For example, it has often been a feature of cosmetics in small quantities because of it's penetrative quanlities. Very few products use it "purely" (as in with no other ingredients added).

Ferox Pure Pulp is one of the only "pure" Aloe Ferox gels out there. It has extraordinary implementation of the active ingredients.

Veld's Ferox Pure Pulp is fragrance, parabens and colourant free, and can be applied either at nightime or during the day. The effects are different depending on the time (regenerating and re-structuring when used at night; instant and long lasting beauty hit when used during the day). Ferox Pure Pulp enhances, rather than detracts, the effects of other products you may also be using at the same time.

Ferox Pure Pulp has a high concentration of polysaccharides that give an impression that your skin is plumped. This is because the gel attracts water to underneath the surface of the skin. Pure Pulp's unique texture forms a smooth film that is unnoticable as it curved around your natural tones. This film will last for an entire day.

It is quite factual that the properties of Aloe Ferox are now harnessed by Velds in an incredible way. In fact, it was known that a sister plant of ferox, Aloe Vera, have healing and soothing properties.....but this was never thought of for Aloe Ferox. Pure Pulp truly does interesting me, as it is probably the only beauty treatment in the world which is actually only made from one ingredient (thus being Aloe Ferox PURE pulp). The film which it forms over the skin is incresibly subtle and mellow, and the plumping effect is does have is also extremely dramatic.
